WTF Am I Going to Make for Dinner Tonight? Summer Tartines with Chef + Author Lauren Costello

This class, taught by chef, cookbook author and cooking show host Lauren Bruan Costello of "It's Lauren of Course", focuses on making a colorful duo of delicious Summer Tartines. Here, good quality bread and fresh ingredients create a satisfying meal that's as flavorful as it is easy to prepare. These are great for lunch, dinner (paired with a summer salad), or even as appetizers.

We'll be making: 

Burrata-Cherry and Corn-Shallot Tartines, Salad of Arugula, Avocado & Almond with a Spring Onion-Lemon Vinaigrette

As for the ingredient list, which you need ASAP, here it goes:

1 sourdough batard/loaf - Wave Hill Breads in Norwalk makes a great one! 
2 burrata
1 pint of cherries (bing or Rainier)
1 small bunch basil
5 ears fresh corn
1 pint heavy cream
4 shallots
1 lemon
1 bunch scallions
1, 5-ounce clamshell of baby arugula
2 ripe avocados, peeled, stones removed, and quartered
sliced almonds
raw, shelled hemp seeds (optional! No one should buy this JUST for this but if they are health nuts and are into it, it makes for a nice topping to the salad)\)
olive oil
balsamic vinegar
unsalted butter
kosher or sea salt
black pepper
white pepper (can be optional…if people don’t have it and don’t want to buy it just for this, they shouldn’t!)
red wine vinegar

Cutting board
Chef’s knife
Paring knife 
Cherry stoner/pitter (optional!  It can be done with a paring knife!)
Small saucepan
Saute pan
Wooden spoon
Blender/food processor
Rubber spatula
Mixing bowls
Spoons, forks, knives

ABOUT THE CLASS: This new weekly online cooking series is designed to take the pain out of the question, "WTF Am I Going to Make for Dinner Tonight?" 

Our guest chefs will help you prepare an easy and delicious entree that can serve a family of 4-6.

The class is from 4-5:30 p.m., so when you're done, pour yourself a glass of wine and put your feet up, knowing that dinner is ready to be served! 

-During check-out, you will see a queston about allergies; simply tell us if you or anyone in your family has a food allergy that we need to be aware of.

-We will send you an advanced ingredients list that you can knock out while you're doing your weekly shopping. 

-We'll also supply you with a ZOOM link good for one attendee by NOON on the day before the event.
